Our SAT Summer Camp is designed specifically for 10th and 11th graders gearing up for the new Digital SAT exam. As schools increasingly revert to SAT requirements for college applications, mastering this standardized test is pivotal. Our program is broken up into two continuing sessions with both covering the most important math and reading / writing concepts for comprehensive preparation. This year's SAT camp will also include 10 brand-new digital SAT exams for each student!

Who Should Attend?

10th and 11th graders who have completed Algebra II and English II.

  • Verbal Only: Tue, Thu, Fri 1-4pm: $800

How is the summer camp structured?

Each week will focus on a new content area, and through supplemental materials and homework assignments, students will acquire a strong foundation in the fundamental concepts necessary for success. In class, the instructors will assess and identify areas of weakness and provide support in those target areas. Every Friday, students will have a chance to practice utilizing their newly acquired skills in a mock test setting.

In the Math portion of our SAT Summer Camp, students will explore, learn, and develop the skills needed for the four main content areas on the math portion of the SAT Exam: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry. Each week will focus on a new content area, and through supplemental materials and homework assignments, students will acquire a strong foundation in the fundamental concepts necessary for success.

In the Reading and Writing portion of our SAT Summer Camp students will explore, learn, and develop the skills needed for the four main content areas of the SAT Exam: Information & Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas and Standard English Conventions. Within these categories, students will enhance their abilities in reading, comprehending and writing texts of varied genres, purposes, subjects, and complexities.

What if my child already knows math and verbal very well?

Knowing the concepts is very different from identifying them in story problems and applying them in a test scenario. Our SAT camp teaches students to identify the patterns, concepts and how to apply them based on tricky or misleading question formats.

How much homework is required?

Students will be provided with 1-2 hours of homework daily. Students are highly recommended to complete the homework but it is not required.

When should students take the SAT?

The Collegeboard.org offers many SAT test dates each year. We recommend students taking the soonest SAT after the SAT summer camp so the concepts are still fresh in their minds.

How many SAT tests will students take?

Each session will consist of 4 authentic and distinct SAT tests. Session 1 tests will be different from Session 2 tests. If students take both sessions, they will take a total of 8 distinct tests.

Will both sessions be the same?

No, the class content will not be the same. Most of the content areas and concepts are the same but our instructors customize the class content and focus based on student needs and challenges. Also, as SAT tests are distinct, the problems and solutions are never the same. As a result, most students take both sessions.

What score can my student expect to receive on their SAT exam?

Ultimately the score your student receives will depend on the time, effort and focus they spend both inside our classes and at home as well as their initial baseline score. We often see students increase their baseline scores by around 200+ points. We regularly have students score in the 1400’s and 1500’s with top scores as high as 1560 with many of those students attending Stanford, UW, U of California system and Ivey League schools.

When do you suggest students take their SAT exam?

We recommend students register for the first SAT exam right after the SAT Summer Camp finishes so that everything remains fresh in student’s minds. Currently, The Collegeboard has their anticipated SAT exam scheduled for August 24, 2024. You can register for that course here: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/dates-deadlines

SAT/ACT: Services

Speaking From Experience

Speaking from experience, Mill Creek Education is definitely the best college-prep institution you can ever go to. It offers classes to prepare for all kinds of tests (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.) and also offers help with homework, if needed. Both group lessons and private lessons are available, and they are taught by teachers who are top-notch in their area of study.

Also, MCE is well known for its college counseling, which provides very careful, personalized guidance throughout the college application process. Its success is proven by the outstanding results of MCE students who enter Ivy League schools and other top schools every year. I would strongly recommend MCE to any student who wants a successful life in college and beyond.
